Building Bridges: Fixing the Immigration Issue and Strengthening U.S.-Mexico Relations

October 18, 2017 | 10:30am | William Saroyan Theatre

Vicente Fox, former Coca-Cola executive in Latin America, former Governor of Guanajuato, and former President of Mexico (2000-2006) continues to be an important voice on the contemporary geopolitical landscape. As President of Mexico he fought corruption, expanded benefits and education for the poor, and increased business opportunities throughout the Americas. He worked closely with U.S. President George W. Bush to reform immigration policies between the U.S. and Mexico.

Today Fox promotes social and economic development along with education and public accountability through his foundation, Centro Fox. He also serves as Co-President of the Centrist Democrat International, an international organization of Christian democratic political parties.

President Fox emphasizes building bridges to advance immigration reform.. He will address why immigration reform is crucial not just for America and Mexico, but for the global community at large.
